How the Clearblue Digital works with week determination

Like conventional pregnancy tests, the Clearblue Digital measures the concentration of the pregnancy hormone hCG in urine and has a sensitivity of 25 mIU/ml. This in turn means that the Clearblue pregnancy test is most accurate from the day your period is due. Of course, you can also carry out the pregnancy test 5 days before the missed period, but in this case you should definitely use the more concentrated morning urine. Please note that the result is only 99% reliable from the time the period is due.

How to use the Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test correctly

In terms of use, the Clearblue Digital with weekly determination is hardly any different from a standard pregnancy test. Proceed as follows:

• Remove the protective cap from the absorbent test tip and use the test immediately.
• Hold the test strip directly in the urine stream for 5 seconds OR immerse it in a previously collected urine sample for 20 seconds. This must be fresh and in a clean, dry container.
• Put the cap back on the test stick and place the pregnancy test on a flat surface.
• If the test is successful, the "Wait" icon will flash on the digital display. After about 3 minutes it disappears and the result is displayed.

After 3 minutes you can read your result in the Clearblue Pregnancy Test window. The result is presented in the words "pregnant" or "not pregnant," saving you the hassle of interpreting. If your test result is 'pregnant', Clearblue Digital will also tell you how long you've been pregnant. Again, the Clearblue test measures the concentration of hCG in the urine and determines with an accuracy of 93% whether conception took place "1-2", "2-3" or "3+" weeks ago.
