Application areas:
- Reduction in the number of germs on mucous membranes, as with:
- inflammation of the gums (gingivitis)
- Prevention of inflammation in operations in the mouth and throat
- Oral care in the event of limited feasibility, e.g. after interventions on the jaw or when wearing prostheses or braces

Application Notes:
The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Type of application?
Rinse the oral cavity with the medicine. Leave the medicine on for 1 minute. After that, spit out the medicine and avoid swallowing it. Immediately before use, you should brush your teeth and rinse your mouth and toothbrush thoroughly to avoid staining your teeth. It should only be used if the drug is safe to use.

Duration of use?
You should not use the medicine for more than 3 weeks without medical advice.

overdose?
If the drug is used as described, no overdose symptoms are known. If in doubt consult your doctor.

In general, pay attention to a conscientious dosage, especially for babies, small children and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.

A dosage prescribed by the doctor may deviate from the information on the package leaflet. Therefore, since the doctor adjusts them individually, you should use the medicine according to his instructions.

How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient kills various bacteria by destroying the cell wall of the microorganisms. In this way, it keeps skin and mucous membranes germ-free, i.e. disinfects. However, the effect here wears off after prolonged use.

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients

Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist about this:
- Wounds in the oral mucosa, both deep and more superficial (scaly) wounds
- Oral mucosal ulcers

What age group do you need to consider?
- Children under 3 years: The dosage form is not suitable for this age group.

What about pregnancy and lactation?
- Pregnancy: consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the drug can be used during pregnancy.
- Breast-feeding: consult your doctor or pharmacist. He will examine your particular starting position and advise you accordingly as to whether and how you can continue breastfeeding.

If you have been prescribed the drug despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit can be higher than the risk that the use entails in the event of a contraindication.

Side effects:
What adverse effects may occur?

- taste disturbances
- Numbness of the tongue
- Burning tongue
- Discoloration of the tongue, which is temporary
- Discoloration of the tooth surface that is temporary

If you notice any discomfort or changes during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

For the information at this point, side effects are primarily taken into account that occur in at least one in 1,000 patients treated.

Important instructions:
What should you consider?
- Be careful if you are allergic to chlorhexidine!
- Be careful if you are allergic to the solvent polyethylene glycol (E number E 431)!
- Beware of allergies to spices, essential oils and turpentine oil!
- The drug contains small amounts of alcohol and should therefore be avoided by alcoholics.
- Caution is advised if you have a known hypersensitivity to fructose (fruit sugar). Gastrointestinal problems can be triggered.
