Hoggar® Night Tablets

What is Hoggar® Night?

A good night's sleep is essential for our maximum performance. But falling asleep is often not that easy. This is where the sleeping pills Hoggar® Night from Stada come in. The medicine helps you to fall asleep more quickly and gently.

When to use Hoggar® Night

• Hoggar® Night sleeping pills help you fall asleep so that you can regain strength for the next day.
• Difficulty falling asleep can be caused, for example, by irregular working hours or stress.
• You should take sleeping pills exclusively for the short-term treatment of insomnia use.
• The tablets are available in two pack sizes in our pharmacy: you can choose between 10 and 20 tablets.

What are the benefits of Hoggar® Night?

As a rule, Hoggar Night works from the very first application and is well tolerated. Furthermore, the sleeping pill does not develop any potential for addiction. One tablet contains 25 mg doxylamine succinate (also called doxylamine). This active ingredient has, among other properties, a sleep-inducing effect. The drug is an antihistamine. The sleeping pill Hoggar® Night works relatively quickly. You should take the tablet about half an hour before bedtime. The effects can last anywhere from three to six hours.

In an application study, patients stated that their average sleep duration increased from 5.5 to 7.2 hours. This study found that 70 percent of all patients fell asleep within 16 minutes of taking it and woke up less than once a night.*

How to take Hoggar® Night

We recommend the following use and dosage of the preparation:

• Take one tablet about half an hour to an hour before bedtime.
• You should only take two tablets if you have particularly severe insomnia.
• Be careful not to chew the tablet while drinking a glass of water.

Hoggar® Night is also available as orodispersible tablets to be taken without water. Here you can also choose between two pack sizes - one for 10 tablets and one for 20 tablets.

If you take Hoggar® Night too late in the evening, you may feel tired and have an impaired ability to react the next morning! You can use the medicine Hoggar® Night over a period of up to two weeks.

When not to use Hoggar® Night

You should not use Hoggar® Night if you are allergic to the active ingredient or any other ingredient in the preparation. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should avoid treatment with Hoggar® Night if possible.

Hints

• Not all sleep disorders require drug therapy. They are often an expression of physical or mental illnesses and can be influenced by other measures or therapy for the underlying disease. For this reason, long-term sleep disorders should not be treated with Hoggar® Night on a long-term basis, but the doctor treating you should be consulted.
• Talk to your doctor or nurse if you think the effect may be too weak or too strong.
• Alcohol consumption should be avoided while using Hoggar® Night.
• Contains lactose

What are the ingredients of Hoggar® Night?

One tablet of Hoggar® Night contains 25 mg of doxylamine (in the form of doxlamine hydrogen succinate).

In addition to the ingredients, the following auxiliaries and components are included: gelatine, potato starch, lactose-1 water, magnesium stearate, corn starch, silicon dioxide and highly dispersed talc.
