Mucosolvan ^® cough syrup calms the urge to cough in the throat, loosens the stubborn mucus in the bronchi, makes it easier to cough up and thus frees the airways.

Warnings and precautions Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. There have been reports of severe skin reactions associated with the use of ambroxol hydrochloride. If you develop a skin rash (including damage to the mucous membranes in the mouth, throat, nose, eyes and genital area), please stop using MUCOSOLVAN Hustensaft 30 mg/5 ml and seek medical advice immediately. Patients with impaired kidney and liver function If you suffer from impaired kidney function or severe liver disease, MUCOSOLVAN Hustensaft 30 mg/5 ml may only be taken on medical advice. As with any drug that is metabolized by the liver and then excreted by the kidneys, in the presence of severe renal impairment, an accumulation of hepatic metabolites of ambroxol can be expected. In some rare diseases of the bronchi that are associated with excessive accumulation of secretion (e.g. malignant cilia syndrome), MUCOSOLVAN cough syrup 30 mg/5 ml should only be used under medical supervision because of a possible accumulation of secretion. Children MUCOSOLVAN cough syrup 30 mg/5 ml may only be used in children under the age of 2 years on medical advice. Taking MUCOSOLVAN Hustensaft 30 mg/5 ml together with other medicines Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using other medicines or have recently taken/used other medicines or intend to take/use other medicines. Ambroxol/antitussives With the combined use of MUCOSOLVAN cough syrup 30 mg/5 ml and cough suppressants (antitussives), patients with existing respiratory diseases that are associated with increased formation of mucus, such as cystic fibrosis or bronchiectasis, can have a (dangerous) build up of secretion.
