NAIL BATRAFEN Solution - 3g

Active ingredient: CiclopiroxIndication

• The preparation was specially developed for the treatment of fungal diseases of the nails. The active substance ciclopirox penetrates the nail plate and has a fungicidal effect on all important pathogens of nail fungus diseases.
• The drug is used for fungal diseases of the nails.

Contraindication:

• The drug must not be used
  • if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredient ciclopirox or any of the other ingredients of the medicine,
  • in children and during pregnancy and lactation due to a lack of clinical data.

Dosage:

• Always use the preparation exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

  • The duration of use depends on the severity of the infestation, but should not exceed a treatment period of 6 months without medical advice. During this time, the fungal nail infection pathogens are generally killed. If you are unsure whether treatment needs to be continued, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

  • Fungal nail infections are often very stubborn. If treatment is interrupted and stopped prematurely, there is a risk that your nail fungus disease will worsen again. If you are unsure whether your nail condition is improving, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Side effects:

• Like all medicines, the preparation can have side effects, but these do not necessarily occur in everyone treated.
  • The frequency of side effects is based on the following categories:
    • Very common: affects more than 1 in 10 people
    • Common: affects 1 to 10 users in 100
    • Uncommon: affects 1 to 10 users in 1,000
    • Rare: affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000
    • Very rare: affects less than 1 in 10,000 people

  • In very rare cases, reddening and scaling of the skin surrounding the nail has been observed upon contact with the solution. Allergic contact dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) occurs rarely.

• If damage to the paint layer occurs in the meantime, it is sufficient to brush over the splintered areas with the medicine.
