NasalDuo® nasal spray helps with colds

According to a population survey*, every German household is affected by a cold with a runny nose around five times a year on average. The symptoms of such a disease are usually harmless and the healing process usually proceeds without complications. But of course a stuffy nose is annoying and sometimes also prevents healthy sleep. Therefore, this symptom with the associated restricted breathing is classified as particularly annoying by the majority of those surveyed. The irritated and therefore burning nasal mucosa came in second place among the unpleasant side effects of a cold. Both the blocked nose and the irritated nasal mucous membranes make those affected feel unwell. NasalDuo® nasal spray achieves significant relief for both symptoms.

Spray brings relief for a dry nose

For the two most annoying symptoms of a cold, ratiopharm has a nasal spray that combines two active ingredients. NasalDuo® nasal spray convinces with a combination of the active ingredients xylometazoline and dexpanthenol. Xylometazoline has a local decongestant effect on the nasal mucosa. You can breathe deeply again quickly and your head feels freer. Dexpanthenol supports the regeneration of the nasal mucosa and thus relieves irritation. Like all ratiopharm snuff sprays, the spray does not contain any preservatives. nasenDuo® nasal spray is suitable for adults and school children from the age of 6 years. The dosage of NaseDuo® nasal spray has been adjusted for children from the age of 2 years. It cares for the mucous and dry nose of children from the age of two. If the nose is blocked, regardless of whether it is big or small, there is reliable help from ratiopharm. Of course, NaseDuo® nasal spray for children does not contain any preservatives. They would only put additional strain on the mucous membranes and could even lead to irreversible damage.

How you should use NaseDuo® nasal spray

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual dose for adults and children over 6 years of age is as needed 1 spray up to 3 times a day NaseDuo® nasal spray in each nostril.

Blow your nose gently before using the nasal spray. It is recommended to use the last dose of the day before bedtime.

This medicine is for nasal use. After removing the protective cap, insert the spray orifice into the nostril and pump the pump once. Breathe gently through your nose while spraying. After use, carefully wipe the spray head with a clean paper towel and put the protective cap back on.

NasalDuo® nasal spray should not be used for longer than 7 days unless the doctor expressly orders further use. It should only be used again after a break of several days.

The doctor should always be asked about the duration of use in children.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the pack or the outer packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Contraindications

NasalDuo® nasal spray must not be used

• if you are allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride, dexpanthenol, potassium dihydrogen phosphate or disodium hydrogen phosphate.
• if you suffer from a dry runny nose (a chronic cold that causes dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa with crusting).
• if you have recently had neurosurgery (transsphenoidal hypophysectomy or other surgery that exposes the meninges).
• in children under 6 years of age.

Allergy Advice

If you are allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride, dexpanthenol, potassium dihydrogen phosphate or disodium hydrogen phosphate, NaseDuo® nasal spray should not be used.
