For whom is OMNi-BiOTiC® CAT & DOG suitable?
"The microbiome of cats and dogs fulfills vital tasks and is very similar to that of humans in composition and function. The friends in the animal intestine are responsible, among other things, for ensuring that food can be utilized and that indigestible or harmful substances are excreted again.
Important vitamins, enzymes, antibiotic substances and hormones are also produced by the intestinal bacteria, as are important short-chain fatty acids. These are particularly important for keeping the intestinal mucosa healthy, as they supply its cells with energy. As in humans, the intestinal mucosa itself forms an effective barrier against pollutants and disease-causing viruses, parasites and germs. In addition, up to 80% of all immune cells in the body are located in the intestines, which, together with the intestinal barrier, are of central importance for animal health.
Every pet owner has already experienced that their own four-legged friend struggles with intestinal problems, and these often manifest themselves in frequent emptying of the intestine: the animal body tries to get rid of foreign or harmful substances as quickly as possible. The droppings are very soft to liquid, and sometimes there are leftovers or foreign matter in them. Diarrhea is usually a symptom of an existing problem and often occurs when the animal's intestinal flora is out of balance."
