TANTUM VERDE ® MOUTH AND THROAT SPRAY
The Tantum Verde ® spray with the active ingredient benzydamine is sprayed directly into the mouth and throat as a ready-to-use solution to treat pain and irritation. With its anti-inflammatory effect, the spray for use in the oral cavity belongs to the group of anti-inflammatory drugs.Tantum Verde ® has a local anesthetic effect¹, which means it specifically numbs the pain in the mouth and throat. The medicine relieves the pain quickly² and ensures that you are free of symptoms for up to 3 hours³.

AREAS OF APPLICATION OF TANTUM VERDE ® SPRAY
The anti-inflammatory and local anesthetic effect of the Tantum Verde ® spray is suitable for a number of applications. In addition to throat problems (such as a sore throat caused by a viral cold, slight scratching or burning in the throat), these also include irritated respiratory tracts, the symptoms of which include hoarseness.In addition, the Tantum Verde ® spray is suitable for treating pain and irritation in the mouth, for example caused by hot foods and drinks or hard food components.
Furthermore, Tantum Verde ® can be used for inflammation of the mucous membranes with painful blisters (stomatitis aphthosa), inflammation of the gums, periodontal disease, inflammation of the mouth (mucositis) and difficulty swallowing.
RECOMMENDATION FOR USE
Tantum Verde ® is generally used 2-6 times a day: 4-8 sprays each for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. 4 sprays in children between 6 and 12 years. For children between the ages of 2 and 6 years, 1 spray for every 4 kg of body weight, up to a maximum of 4 sprays. Unless otherwise prescribed by the dentist or doctor, the dosage recommendation also applies to elderly patients. |
TANTUM VERDE ® SPRAY FOR COLDS
With a cold, an infection of the upper respiratory tract, symptoms such as a sore throat, cough and hoarseness can occur in addition to a runny nose. On average, adults experience two to four infections per year, especially in autumn and winter. Children can get eight to ten colds per year.⁴ The Tantum Verde ® Spray has a local anesthetic effect, effectively inhibits irritation in the mouth and throat and provides rapid pain relief.
TREATMENT OF HOARSESS
Hoarseness occurs due to overloading of the voice. Speaking requires effort and it is not uncommon for there to be additional burning or pressure in the larynx. The heavy use causes the vocal folds to redden and swell. 5 If you ignore hoarseness, you risk further damage such as a relaxation of the vocal cords. The Tantum Verde ® Spray has an anti-inflammatory effect against irritation in the throat area.
INFLAMMATION OF THE ORAL MUCOUS
Inflammation of the oral mucosa (stomatitis) can be a secondary phenomenon to an infection or systemic disease or can occur as an independent clinical picture without an identifiable cause. Women are more often affected by the so-called "aphthae" than men. 6 The local treatment with the Tantum Verde ® Spray relieves the symptoms, which include a strong burning sensation in the oral mucosa.

No side effects are to be expected if small amounts of Tantum Verde ® Spray are accidentally swallowed. Even if a whole bottle of Tantum Verde Spray is accidentally drunk, no negative consequences are to be expected.How long should I continue using Tantum Verde ® Mouth Spray?
In most cases, only a few days are necessary to use the Tantum Verde ® mouth spray to treat acute signs of inflammation. If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days, contact your doctor.Can the Tantum Verde ® mouth spray also be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
