Vomacur ® 50 mg tablets are tolerated at the correct dosage and are also suitable for children aged 6 and over and weighing over 30 kg.

Proven active ingredient
The dimenhydrinate contained in Vomacur ® 50 mg is used to treat nausea and vomiting, but also to prevent motion sickness. Nausea and vomiting occur when the so-called vomiting center in the brain is stimulated by the messenger substance histamine. The active ingredient dimenhydrinate is an antihistamine and prevents the stimulation of the vomiting center by histamine.This mode of action can noticeably reduce dizziness and nausea while at the same time preventing vomiting. The active ingredient is considered to be well tolerated and, if taken in a timely manner, can effectively prevent the unpleasant symptoms of motion sickness.
USE RECOMMENDATION:Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults and young people over 14 years of age and over 56 kg body weight take 1 to 2 Vomacur® 50 mg tablets (equivalent to 50 to 400 mg dimenhydrinate) 1 to 4 times a day, unchewed, with plenty of liquid throughout the day .The maximum dose of 8 tablets within 24 hours must not be exceeded. The recommended dose for children aged 6 to 14 years and weighing more than 30 kg is ½-1 tablet (corresponding to 25-150 mg dimenhydrinate) 1 to 3 times daily, but not more than 3 tablets/day (corresponding to 150 mg dimenhydrinate/ Day). To prevent motion sickness, the first dose is about 30 to 60 minutes before the start of the journey. There should be a gap of at least 6 hours between two doses. |
FOR CHILDREN OVER 6 YEARS
Children particularly often suffer from motion sickness; the first signs can be unnatural paleness, persistent yawning and cold sweats. For the prevention and treatment of motion sickness and the treatment of nausea and vomiting, Vomacur ® 50 mg can be administered to children from the age of 6 and a body weight of more than 30 kg in an age-appropriate dosage. The recommended dosage should not be increased on one's own initiative, especially in children.
ON CRUISES
It is not uncommon for ship passengers to suffer from seasickness, which sometimes affects even hardened sea dogs. In addition to the timely intake of Vomacur ® 50 mg it is advisable to stay on deck on a ship if possible and to look at a distant point on the horizon while sailing.
PREVENT MOTION SICKNESS
In order to effectively prevent the dreaded travel sickness, you should start your holiday as rested as possible. Do not set off on an empty stomach and eat small, light meals before you start your journey and on the way to avoid putting a strain on your stomach. To be on the safe side, Vomacur® 50 mg should not be missing in your hand luggage.

How fast does Vomacur ® work 50mg?
Vomacur ® 50 mg generally works within about 1 hour after ingestion. If travel sickness is known, the drug should therefore be taken ½ to 1 hour before the start of the journey.Can Vomacur ® 50 mg also be given to small children for travel sickness?
Vomacur ® 50 mg tablets are suitable for children from the age of 6 and weighing more than 30 kg. For small children and children weighing more than 8 kg, Vomacur® 40 mg suppositories are available to prevent and treat motion sickness and to treat nausea, dizziness and vomiting.Please discuss the individual dosage of the drug with your pediatrician. Can I do this after taking Vomacur ® 50 mg while driving?
Taking Vomacur ® 50 mg can cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness or difficulty concentrating, which can have a detrimental effect on the ability to drive. This is especially true in connection with insufficient sleep duration, at the beginning of treatment or in combination with alcohol. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, Vomacur ® 50 mg is intended for short-term use only. If symptoms persist, you should therefore consult a doctor.
