Another advantage: Thanks to the coating that is resistant to gastric acid and the juices of the small intestine, the active substance bisacodyl contained in Dulcolax® coated tablets acts where it is supposed to act: in the large intestine, the site of constipation. The active ingredient is only released and activated in the large intestine so that its laxative effect only unfolds where it is needed - without unnecessarily burdening the body.
