Thiamidol®

Thiamidol acts on melanin production at its origin, causing existing pigment spots to gradually fade and fewer new spots to form. Thiamidol is the main active ingredient in the Eucerin Anti-Pigment skin care line. Clinical and dermatological studies prove its very good skin compatibility and care effectiveness. The first results are visible after just two weeks, with the result continuing to improve with regular use.

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is produced by skin cells and is part of the skin's connective tissue. One of its main functions is to store moisture, and it has the ability to bind 1,000 to 10,000 times its own weight in water (i.e. one gram binds between one and ten liters). As we age, the skin's natural ability to produce hyaluronic acid decreases and wrinkles begin to form and deepen.

High and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid

Eucerin uses two different types of hyaluronic acid in the formulas Hyaluron-Filler¹, Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity, Anti-Pigment Dual Serum and Sun Photoaging Control to effectively fight and fill wrinkles from the inside out:

High molecular weight hyaluronic acid (also known as long-chain hyaluronic acid). It remains on the surface of the skin and works to improve hydration in the outermost layer of the epidermis - where fine lines and wrinkles arise.

Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (also known as short-chain hyaluronic acid). With molecules that are 40 times smaller² than those of high-molecular hyaluronic acid, low-molecular hyaluronic acid penetrates further into the epidermal layers, where it stimulates the skin's own production of hyaluronic acid and replenishes moisture where deeper wrinkles form.

The Eucerin DermatoCLEAN cleansing range includes low molecular weight hyaluronic acid.

How they work together
