What is Perenterol® Forte?

The drug Perenterol® Forte 250 mg supports you in the treatment of acute diarrhea. You can also use it as a preventive measure when travelling, because the symptoms are particularly unpleasant here and cause additional stress. Perenterol® Forte is suitable for adults and children from the age of 2 and relies on a natural, gentle medicinal yeast called Saccharomyces boulardii. This binds the diarrhea pathogens and helps to excrete the pathogens. In addition, the detoxification and regeneration of the intestine is supported and the loss of liquid is reliably reduced. Furthermore, Perenterol® Forte 250 mg is approved for the concomitant treatment of chronic forms of acne.

Good to know : Perenterol® Forte 250 mg is also suitable for treating antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) and for treating diarrhea associated with tube feeding. Yeast usually stops reacting at certain temperatures. The lyophilization ensures that the yeast cells of the dry yeast are insensitive to heat. When to use Perenterol® Forte

Use the drug Perenterol® Forte to treat acute diarrhea. If you suffer from so-called traveler's diarrhea, which is caused, for example, by excitement or foreign spices and food, you can also benefit from taking the preparation. The capsules are also used concomitantly with some chronic forms of acne.

Its high level of tolerability makes it a good choice if you suffer from antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD). The medicine can also be used for diarrhea caused by a tube. In this context, using the drug to prevent diarrhea can also be useful. If necessary, consult a doctor

We recommend the following dosage:

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual dose of Perenterol® Forte 250 mg capsules for children from the age of 2 and adults is:

• When treating acute diarrhea, take one capsule 1 to 2 times a day.
• In order to treat traveler's diarrhea in advance, we recommend using the capsules (1 to 2 times a day) for five days before the start of the trip.
• To make it easier to take ( e.g. for children ), you can open the capsule and pour its contents into liquid or food. In this way you can also enrich tube feeding with Perenterol® Forte.
• Fight tube-related diarrhea with the drug., To do this, the contents of three capsules should be dissolved in 1.5 liters of nutrient solution.
• For acne, you should take 1 capsule 3 times a day.

Instructions for use

• If the diarrhea lasts longer than two days or if there is blood in the stool, seek medical attention immediately. If your temperature rises or you have a fever, you should also see a doctor.
• For children under 2 years of age, you should only use Perenterol® Forte after consulting a doctor.

When not to use Perenterol® Forte

You should refrain from using Perenterol® Forte if you are allergic to any ingredient or other ingredient. You should also refrain from using it if you have HIV infections, immunodeficiency, radiotherapy or (malignant) tumors. There is a so-called contraindication here.

How often can you take Perenterol® Forte?

You may use the Perenterol® Forte capsules 1 to 3 times a day to combat diarrhea or acne. However, the exact dosage depends on the respective application. If you would like to use Perenterol® Forte to prevent traveler's diarrhea, we recommend starting the treatment 5 days before the trip. In this regard, take 1 to 2 capsules daily.

Can Perenterol® Forte be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

There is no reliable knowledge about the use during pregnancy or lactation. For this reason, it is not recommended to take it.

More information:

• In the case of diarrhea that lasts longer than 2 days or is accompanied by blood or a rise in temperature, medical advice should be sought to have the symptoms clarified.
• In the case of diarrheal diseases, especially in children, replacement of fluids and electrolytes is the most important therapeutic measure. Otherwise, circulatory problems may occur.
