Sinupret® eXtract - against colds and sinusitis

A stuffy nose, sleeping problems and headaches are often typical signs of a sinus infection. Nasal sprays only provide temporary relief because they reduce swelling in the nasal mucous membranes without eliminating the causes. This is where the drug Sinupret® eXtract comes in and fights symptoms and causes. It works specifically against colds and sinus infections. You can also use this drug to treat the so-called rhinosinusitis, the simultaneous inflammation of the paranasal sinuses and nasal mucosa.

What is Sinupret® eXtract for?

• You can use Sinupret® eXtract to treat acute sinusitis or rhinosinusitis.
• Thanks to the highly concentrated active ingredients, the sinuses are quickly cleared.

How does Sinupret® eXtract work?

After taking Sinupret® eXtract, the tablet enters the stomach and is then dissolved in the intestine. During this process, bioflavonoids are released. They reach the nose and the paranasal sinuses via the bloodstream. There, Sinupret® eXtract helps loosen the stubborn mucus. Inflammation of the paranasal sinuses is one of the classic areas of application for Sinupret® eXtract. The drug also helps to reduce pressure headaches.

What are the advantages of Sinupret® eXtract?

Sinupret® eXtract is stronger than Sinupret® forte thanks to the fourfold concentration of dry extracts from gentian, cowslip, sorrel herb, verbena and elderberry. This is due to the specially developed production process, in which the active ingredients are processed gently.

Another advantage: Due to the "specially developed production process", the tablet is not only 4 times more concentrated, but also hardly any larger.
The drug helps clear the sinuses by loosening the mucus and clearing the nose. The high concentration of the active ingredients ensures that the mucous membranes in the sinuses go down faster, so that the mucus can drain off. As a result, you can breathe easier again and the oppressive headache subsides. The dry extracts mentioned above also alleviate the symptoms and causes of acute rhinosinusitis.

The difference between Sinupret® forte and Sinupret® eXtract is the dosage of the ingredients. Both medicines are purely herbal and contain gentian, cowslip, sorrel herb, verbena and elderflower. But the plant mixture of Sinupret® eXtract contains four times the concentration of Sinupret® forte.

How you should use Sinupret® eXtract

Sinupret® eXtract is suitable for adults and children over the age of 12.

• If your doctor has not prescribed any other intake, we recommend swallowing one tablet three times a day.
• We recommend drinking a glass of water. Also, be careful not to chew the tablet.
• You can use the drug regardless of meals. If you don't like the feeling of swallowing tablets, Sinupret® is also available in the form of drops.

If there is no improvement within 7 to 14 days, please seek medical advice. This also applies if the sinus infections keep coming back.
In some cases, special caution is required: If you suffer from exceptionally severe pain, nosebleeds or other health problems while taking it, we also recommend that you see a doctor. Nosebleeds can also occur due to heavy use and frequent sneezing or blowing your nose too hard.

When not to take Sinupret® eXtract?

Children under the age of 12 should not use Sinupret® eXtract due to the lack of studies with people of this age. If you are allergic to any of the active ingredients, excipients or any other component of Sinupret® eXtract, you should refrain from taking it. For more information, see the leaflet linked above. Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the pack or the outer packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Verbena dry extract
